Webinar 29 May - European Defence Policies in 2026 and beyond
Since the inauguration of the new European Commission in 2024, including for the first time a European Commissioner for Defence Industry and Space, defence developments at the European level have gained significant momentum and speed. A vast array of new regulations and funding instruments are being developed, published, and adopted.
While these policies and instruments are being implemented, the European Commission continues developing far reaching plans such as European Common Defence, a European Defence Union, a European Single Market for Defence, a European DARPA and potentially the application of large-scale funding through Eurobonds and/or the MFF 2028-2035.
Meanwhile, the European Parliament often considers these plans are still moving too slowly and has adopted several resolutions to further deepen and accelerate these developments.
What are the implications of all this for European Defence, the member States governments and the technology sector and defence industry?
We will discuss this on 29 May, during a joint webinar hosted by Eurodefense
Netherlands and the Defence and Security department of the Royal Netherlands
Society of Engineers (KIVI DV).
