Individual Protection combined with Mission Effectiveness under CWA/TIC – IPE

Image
Webinar |  9 November 2021 |  20:00-21:00 To ensure functional CBRN protection, it can be segmented into three distinct categories: Survivability, Durability and Mission Effectiveness. In this webinar the technology of different Personal Protective Equipment will be explained, and mechanistic understanding of protection will be discussed. Lastly, aspects of mission and operational effectiveness in PPE are explored including Biophysics and Human Performance. Programme : 20:00 Opening by KIVI board member 20:05 Presentation  20:40 Q&A 21:00 End of programme Register using this form Participants will receive a link on the day of the webinar.

Calculated Moves - Generating Air Combat Behaviour

Webinar |  17 November 2021 |  20:00-21:00 By training with virtual opponents in simulators, trainee fighter pilots can build the experience necessary for air combat operations , at a fraction of the cost of training with real aircraft. In practice however, the variety of the opponents is not as wide as it can be. This is largely due to a lack of behaviour models. In his PhD research (2013-2020), Armon Toubman (NLR) investigated the extent to which it is possible to generate the required behaviour models , by means of machine learning . In this webinar he discusses the intersection of training simulations, behaviour models, and machine learning, and shares the results of his research. Programme : 20:00 Opening by KIVI board member 20:05 Presentation by Dr. Armon Troubman of the Royal Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) 20:40 Q&A 21:00 End of programme Register using this form Participants will receive a link on the day of the webinar.
